What I am involved in.
I write about a field I also work in. So that you can weigh what I say, here is where my interests sit.
Roles
- Founder and CEO of the Radhiant Group, including RDISA, which runs the mobile screening network written about on this site.
- Founder of the Radhiant Foundation, which sponsors mammograms for women who cannot afford screening.
- Diagnostic radiologist in independent practice, including independent medico-legal reporting, handled through a separate professional channel.
- Honorary lecturer and MMed supervisor at the University of the Witwatersrand, and honorary lecturer at the University of Pretoria.
- Member of the Radiological Society of South Africa's NHI subcommittee.
Commercial interests
My income comes from my clinical and radiology work, including teleradiology reporting for Everlight Radiology and independent medico-legal reporting, and from building the Radhiant Group. Where an essay touches on a company, product or partner I have a financial interest in, that interest is named in the piece.
Speaking, advisory and sponsorship
I take paid speaking and advisory work, described on the speaking and work with me page. This site does not run advertising or sponsored posts. If that ever changes, any paid placement will be labelled clearly.
How I handle conflicts
I take on advisory or board work only where it does not conflict with RDISA, and I keep patient information out of everything published here. Where a topic sits close to my own commercial interests, I would rather say so plainly and let you judge the argument on its merits.
